Bridal fashion week always manages to get us super excited for the next season and the Bridal Spring 2019 shows gave us a ton of fresh trends to obsess over! From rockstar-inspired metallics, to classic, clean silhouettes, this year’s bridal shows certainly left us with something for everyone!

We’ve broken down our top six favorite trends we saw throughout Bridal Fashion Week to give you some much needed inspiration for your wedding dress hunt. With so many unique and unconventional styles, we truly feel like 2019 will be the best year yet for brides!

1. Bridal Jumpsuits

Jumpsuits have always been a choice for the brides who wanted a more formal, yet unconventional look for their wedding ceremony. This year, we’ve seen an explosion of jumpsuits that come in every style, length and material, making jumpsuits a real option for the mainstream bride. We love jumpsuits because, not only do they look flattering on everyone, they are also great for tons of walking and dancing two things you will do a lot of at your wedding!

2. Simple and Clean

Wedding fashion throughout the years has been all about the lush embellishments from beading and embroidery, to lots of luxurious lace and appliques. This year, a ton of designers are turning against that and creating breathtaking bridal gowns that are completely unadorned. This clean look reminds us of the beautifully minimalist dresses that Meghan Markle donned for her royal nuptials earlier this year. This look is compelling to us because it reminds us all that you don’t have to be decked out with a ton of complex details to embody that gorgeous bridal glamour!

3. Modern Mock Turtlenecks

With the royal wedding behind us, we’re seeing a ton of more modest wedding designs, but modest doesn’t mean frumpy or unstylish! Mock turtleneck necklines have been all over the fashion world these past few seasons, so it’s no surprise that this high neckline would end up in the bridal world as well. This neckline can be sheer, tied with a bow, or simple to evoke a classic, elegant look. All we know is that, however it’s styled, it looks great!

4. Unforgettable Florals

Weddings are full of florals- from the decor and bouquets to the bridesmaids dresses and the wedding gown, one can’t picture a wedding without flowers. Last season gave us dainty, 3D floral appliques meant to beautifully accent a wedding gown. This season, florals definitely turned it up a notch with huge, bold floral appliques meant to be the center of attention. These couture-inspired dresses would look great at a spring wedding dripping with flowers and would definitely have the guests in awe at your radiance!

5. Romantic Ruffles

Ruffles can be one of the most fun details to add to  dress because they give it volume, shape and movement, all of which pair perfectly with the glamour of a wedding gown. Ranging from a fun detail to an all-out ruffled ballroom skirt, ruffles can be used in a variety of ways to create a unique and frilly look that will float down the aisle on your wedding day!

6. Marvelous Metallics

This year, jewelry isn’t the only way you can add a little bling to your wedding look! Golds and silvers danced down the runways on bridal looks that screamed glamour and gave us major rockstar vibes! We love how fabulously shimmery these wedding gowns are, perfect for any bride that wants to really make a splash at her wedding ceremony and reception!
