We love when the top bridal designers come out with their latest collections, which are always a year in advance, so we can get a sneak peak at what wedding dress trends will be the most popular among brides in the coming seasons. Bridal Spring 2020 fashion week showed us so many exciting collections with a ton of fun and unique features that we can’t wait to see on next year’s brides!
We’ve chosen to highlight a few of our favorite trends from the Bridal Spring 2020 season so you can get some inspiration for your own search for your dream wedding dress! Soon-to-be brides, get ready to take some notes, because you’re going to love these sweet bridal styles!
Flouncing Feathers
Feathers have always been a super luxurious addition to any formal dress or outfit, and the way they flutter and move as you walk make them so much fun! For these reasons, we’re stoked to see that feathers were a major trend on the bridal runways, so expect to see them at a ton of weddings next year! You can go as glamorous or as minimal as you want- the feather trend doesn’t discriminate. You can get a wedding dress covered in feathers, or one with refined feather accents along the neckline or hem. No matter what you choose, your wedding day look will be flirty and fantastic with feathers!

Renaissance-Inspired Puff Sleeves
Inject some instant romance into your wedding dress with puff sleeves fit for a Shakespeare ingenue! If you want a wedding dress with a ton of drama, then adding these gorgeous sleeves would definitely elevate your wedding day look! We also love how versatile they are, coming in all different lengths and styles to appeal to any renaissance-enthusiast’s sensibilities. Plus, puff sleeves add so much youthful and playful energy to your wedding day look, that you’ll be unforgettable!

Trendy High Necklines
Strapless, sweetheart, and plunging-V necklines have dominated the wedding dress scene for years because of how classic and universally-flattering they are. Well, now there’s a new neckline on the block that’s vying for the top position- the high, mock neckline. If you’re looking for a wedding dress that goes against the mold and has a modern, stylish vibe- then the high neckline might be the perfect choice for you! Plus, it provides more coverage for any bride that needs a more modest wedding dress, without sacrificing style!

Sharp Bridal Blazers
Dresses not your thing? No problem! The Bridal Spring 2020 season showcased a TON of incredible bridal suits and blazers that would look sharp on any bride that would rather forgo the wedding dress. After all, you should be the best version of yourself on your wedding day without changing who you are- so if you never wear dresses in real life, then you might want to consider something like a bridal suit instead! We also love the idea of layering a blazer or jacket over your wedding dress because it would create such a unique look, personalized to your style!

High-Low Hemlines
High-Low hemlines are making a comeback in the fashion world, so it was only a matter of time before they showed up on wedding dresses! We love the high-low skirt because it can give you the best of both worlds- all of the flirty fun of a short dress, with the drama and elegance of a long dress. So if you want something a little more modern and playful for your wedding dress, then this might be a style you should consider! Plus, the high hemline in the front of the dress will allow you to show off your awesome shoes (and legs!).

Short and Sassy
Whether you’re hosting your wedding at a gorgeous vacation destination, are looking for a second dress to wear at your reception, or just want something cute and sassy for your ceremony- short wedding dresses are here to stay! Because they’re much easier to wear, walk in and transport, short wedding dresses are perfect for wearing to your wedding reception where you’ll be dancing and mingling for hours, or even to a tropical vacation wedding! They also come in a range of styles to match anyone’s preferences, so no matter who you are, you’ll be able to find a short wedding dress you love!
